This fine book decribes the following early makers of brass instruments in the United States: Thomas D. Paine, J. Lathrop Allen, E.G. Wright, and Isaac Fiske.  The book is 8 1/2" x 11" format, has 56 pages, and contains many photos and period illustrations of keyed bugles, rotary valve cornets and other early brasswinds.  Written by noted brass historian Robert E. Eliason, this book is currently out of stock, although this may change in the future.
