Nick DeCarlis (left) and Scott Philbrick, at the Concord Inn, Concord, Mass., November 1999.  Note the matching Getzen Eterna cornets!

WANTED
I am especially interested in obtaining the following model cornets:

• Vintage Pocket Cornets & Trumpets
(note: cornets market "BESSONS" -- note the third "S" -- are newly-made imitations and are worth little to nothing)

• F.E. Olds & Son cornets or trumpets with hammered bell.

New Concert, Oct. 21, 2006 in Bridgewater, NJ.

About Nick DeCarlis - Jazz Cornetist

Do you have a vintage cornet  you'd like to sell me?

I enjoy hearing from other vintage cornet collectors, and have made many internet friends from across the US and a few overseas.  While not an expert on the subject of vintage cornets, I am happy to try to answer your questions (or put you in touch with somebody who will know more than I do).

Since I've concentrated on U.S. makers, I know very little about European manufacturers, and probably won't be very helpful with questions regarding them.

I can try to help you identify and date your cornet (and many trumpets as well).
