Jon Philbrick (photo taken when he was 12), of Acton, MA, in Civil War garb.  He is holding an 1865 John Stratton rotary valve cornet.  It was given to Jon's father Scott by early NY studio trumpeter Sylvester "Hooley" Ahola when he turned 90!

Dating is approximate in many cases, based on various published lists, some of which are more accurate than others.  Others dates are just educated guesses by me or other collectors.

The serial number is indicated for each cornet, with X's replacing the last two digits for security reasons.

Note: Not all of the cornets have "thumbnails", and some of the cornets have more than one page to view.
